Monday Girl Toronto 2025 Summit Volunteer Terms & Conditions
By participating as a volunteer in the Monday Girl Summit on Saturday, March 29th, 2025 at The Fairmont Royal York, 100 FRONT STREET W TORONTO, ON M5J 1E3, Canada, you acknowledge that your role is voluntary and unpaid, and you agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
You acknowledge that volunteer activities may involve physical tasks (e.g., lifting, carrying, setting up booths) and potential exposure to health and safety risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your volunteer duties. Monday Girl Ltd., its directors, officers, employees, sponsors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, illness, or damage incurred during your volunteer service, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
This waiver does not override any rights you may have under Ontario law, including protections under the Occupiers' Liability Act and Ontario Human Rights Code.
2. Medical and Safety Compliance
Monday Girl Ltd. is committed to a safe working environment under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). By volunteering, you acknowledge that:
Monday Girl Ltd. does not provide health or accident insurance for volunteers. You are responsible for your own medical coverage and any treatment required.
You will follow all safety protocols and health guidelines established by Monday Girl Ltd. and event organizers.
If you have any medical conditions, physical limitations, or safety concerns, you agree to inform the event organizers in advance. This information will be kept confidential and used solely for your safety.
Monday Girl Ltd. reserves the right to reassign duties or remove volunteers from certain activities if there is a safety concern.
3. Confidentiality and Media Release
You acknowledge that, in your volunteer role, you may have access to confidential or proprietary information, including but not limited to speaker, sponsor, or attendee details, event strategies, and internal operational procedures. You agree not to disclose, share, or use such information outside of your volunteer responsibilities.
By participating in the Monday Girl Summit, you grant permission for any photographs, videos, or media recordings of you at the event to be used for promotional, marketing, and social media purposes without compensation.
If you do not consent to being photographed or recorded, you must notify the event organizers in writing before the event begins.
4. Volunteer Expectations
Your role as a volunteer is strictly voluntary and does not establish an employment relationship with Monday Girl Ltd. under the Employment Standards Act (ESA). You acknowledge that you will receive no wages, benefits, or remuneration for your participation.
You agree to arrive on time, complete assigned tasks responsibly, and conduct yourself professionally and respectfully throughout the event.
If you are unable to fulfill your volunteer duties or have concerns, you agree to notify event organizers as soon as possible.
Monday Girl Ltd. reserves the right to dismiss any volunteer whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or contrary to the event’s professional standards.
