Membership Code of Conduct

Welcome to Monday Girl, our exclusive members-only community for next-generation women leaders. Our community is dedicated to fostering a supportive and empowering environment where members can share ideas, network, and collaborate with one another. To ensure that all members feel safe and respected, we have established the following Membership Code of Conduct. By joining our community, you agree to abide by these rules:

  1. No Solicitation Policy: Our community is a non-commercial space and is not intended for commercial or promotional purposes. We do not allow any form of solicitation or marketing, including but not limited to the promotion of products, services, groups, or events. If you wish to promote a product, service, or event, please contact the community administrators for sponsorship or advertising opportunities.

  2. No Harassment Policy: We are committed to maintaining a respectful and harassment-free environment for all members. Harassment in any form, including but not limited to, sexual harassment, verbal abuse, or discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation, will not be tolerated. Any member who engages in harassment will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of membership.

  3. Respect for Others: Our community is made up of members from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We encourage open discussion and debate, but we expect all members to engage in respectful dialogue and to avoid personal attacks or abusive language.

  4. No-Show Policy: We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise that prevent members from attending our office hours or in-person events. However, we ask that members who have registered for an office hour or in-person event but are unable to attend, notify us at least 72 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the spot to another member who may be interested in attending. If a member fails to notify us of their inability to attend an office hour or in-person event at least 72 hours in advance, they will be considered a "no-show". As outlined in our Warning and Removal System for Non-Compliant Members, two or more no-shows may result in disciplinary action, up to and including permanent removal from the community.

  5. Engagement in Safe and Respectful Conversations: All discussions within our Slack group should contribute to a safe and inclusive atmosphere. To preserve the professional nature of our community, religious or political discussions are prohibited. Degrading comments regarding race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity will not be tolerated. Members posting inappropriate content will be asked to edit or delete their posts, failing which may result in a risk to their membership.

  6. Maintain a LinkedIn Profile: Members are required to maintain a LinkedIn profile for identity verification purposes. This is to ensure trust and safety within our community, allowing our members to know who they are interacting with, and validating the authenticity of their professional achievements. Exceptions may apply for those who do not maintain a LinkedIn profile; please inform us by email if this is the case, and we will verify your identity with alternative methods such as video verification or other verified online profiles.

  7. Job Referrals Solicitation Policy: Consistent with our community's commitment to fostering trust and authentic connections, we firmly disallow any unsolicited job referrals or resume review requests in the absence of an already established relationship. Our community and platform are designed to foster genuine connections and mutual respect. Engaging in transactional networking, such as asking for job referrals or resume critiques from members you have not formed a genuine relationship with, undermines the spirit of our community. Networking should be based on meaningful interactions and mutual support, not solely on personal gain. Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of membership.

  8. Confidentiality: Our community is a private space for members to share ideas and collaborate. We expect all members to respect the confidentiality of the discussions and materials shared within the community.

  9. Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Members are expected to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, intellectual property laws, antitrust laws, and data privacy laws.

  10. Reporting Violations: If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it to the community administrators immediately. All reports will be taken seriously and investigated promptly.

Warning and Removal System for Non-Compliant Members:

First Warning: When a member is found to be non-compliant with the Membership Code of Conduct, the community administrators will issue a warning to the member. The warning will clearly state which rule of the code has been violated and what actions the member needs to take to rectify the situation.

Second Warning: If a member continues to violate the Membership Code of Conduct after receiving a first warning, the community administrators will issue a second warning to the member. The second warning will reiterate the violation and clearly state the consequences of further non-compliance, such as immediate permanent removal from the community

Permanent Removal: If a member's behaviour continues to be non-compliant with the Membership Code of Conduct after receiving two warnings, or if the behaviour is deemed severe enough to warrant immediate permanent removal, the community administrators may permanently remove the member from the community. The member will be notified of the decision and the reasons behind it. Please note that there will be no refund or partial reimbursement of membership fees for non-compliant members who are permanently removed.

By joining our community, you agree to abide by this Membership Code of Conduct and its warning and removal system for non-compliant members. We reserve the right to modify or update this Code of Conduct as necessary. Thank you for your cooperation in creating a safe and supportive community for next-generation women leaders.

Cancellation or Refund Policy:

Membership Fees: Membership fees are non-refundable, except in the following circumstances:

a. Within 10 days of joining the community, a member may cancel their membership and receive a full refund of the membership fee.

b. If a member is permanently removed from the community due to a violation of the Membership Code of Conduct, they are not eligible for partial reimbursement.
