Partnerships and Events Intern

Location: Hybrid (Toronto) While much of the role can be completed remotely, you’ll be required to commute for in-person programming and meetings in Toronto.

Compensation

  • Hourly Pay: $18–$25 CAD/hour, depending on experience.

  • Travel Reimbursement: All travel expenses for in-person events (e.g., transportation, accommodations, and meals) will be reimbursed or covered as applicable.

Duration: 3–6 months, with flexible start and end dates. Ideally starting February 17, 2025.

About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and proactive Partnerships and Events Intern to join our team starting as soon as February 17, 2025. If you’re passionate about building relationships, organizing events, and creating impactful experiences, this is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a fast-growing brand.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Monday Girl team to spearhead venue outreach, develop partnerships, and execute unforgettable events. The role requires outreach, pitching, and calls with potential partners as well as commuting and attending in-person programming in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities

1. Venue Prospecting & Outreach

  • Research and cold-call trendy venues and spaces in Toronto, NYC, Chicago, and San Francisco to identify partnership opportunities for co-branded events, programming, and exclusive member discounts.

  • Conduct outreach and pitch to potential partners via email, calls, and meetings.

2. Partnership Proposals

  • Develop compelling partnership proposals tailored to venue and brand opportunities that align with Monday Girl’s mission.

3. Event Coordination

  • Assist with event logistics, scheduling, and administrative tasks to ensure seamless execution of conferences and events.

  • Support the operations team in managing on-site details, including setup, troubleshooting, and member experience.

4. On-Site Support

  • Attend events in Toronto, assisting with on-the-ground coordination and capturing social content for promotions.

5. Creative Ideation

  • Brainstorm and develop innovative partnership opportunities and activations that enhance the Monday Girl experience.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Enthusiastic about networking, events, and brand collaborations.

  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and familiar with social media platforms.

  • Flexible and willing to commute to in-person programming in Toronto.

  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Email Marketing Specialist (Contract)

Location: Canada
Type: Contract, Remote
Compensation: This is a contract role requiring 4-8 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $50–$85 CAD/hour, depending on experience and expertise.

Contract Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Email Marketing Specialist on a contract basis to support our team with the execution of customer lifecycle email campaigns and automations. Work with a rapidly growing brand where you’ll have the chance to shape our email and SMS marketing strategies end-to-end. You’ll also be free to innovate and test new strategies, from launching SMS campaigns to refining client segmentation. If you thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and love building from the ground up, this could be the role and team for you.

In addition to segmentation, automation, and reporting, this team member also has a strong perspective on email creative and is able to craft their own campaigns in Canva or a similar platform. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is scrappy and resourceful, and has strong creative sensibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Email and SMS Marketing Execution:

  • Design and execute end-to-end email and SMS marketing campaigns aligned with the member customer journey.

  • Build and maintain automations and workflows that engage and retain members while driving measurable results.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment with broader initiatives and goals.

Drive Creative Campaign Development:

  • Write compelling, on-brand copy that resonates with our audience and drives action.

  • Work with our Graphic Designer to create high-quality visuals for emails and SMS campaigns using tools like Mailchimp, Canva, or Adobe Illustrator.

  • Maintain Monday Girl’s unique brand voice across all campaigns.

Optimize Performance Through Segmentation and Analysis:

  • Develop thoughtful audience segmentation strategies to personalize campaigns and increase impact.

  • Conduct A/B testing and analyze campaign performance metrics to continuously optimize engagement and conversion rates.

  • Share actionable insights and best practices to refine our email and SMS strategy.

Maintain and Troubleshoot Technical Integrations:

  • Ensure smooth integration of campaigns into CRM systems like Mailchimp.

  • Troubleshoot challenges with email and SMS platforms as needed.

  • Ensure all campaigns comply with email and SMS marketing regulations, including CASL, CAN-SPAM, and GDPR.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in email and SMS marketing, with a strong focus on lifecycle campaigns and automation.

  • Hands-on experience with platforms like Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar tools.

  • Proven ability to craft compelling copy and design visually appealing campaigns.

  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of improving campaign performance through data-driven insights.

  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS for email template customization and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with A/B testing, segmentation, and personalization strategies.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
